Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify and address issues, improve test coverage, and optimize testing processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

 

 

2. Identify, document, and track software defects in collaboration with the development team.

 

 

3. Analyze test results, report issues, and ensure timely resolution.

 

 

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

 

 

5. Enhance existing test frameworks or build new frameworks to support scalable testing.

 

 

6. Perform code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure best practices are followed.

 

 

7. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for efficient and continuous testing.

 

 

8. Stay updated with industry trends and tools to improve the automation processes.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 

2+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation.

 

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

 

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress).

 

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

 

Experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.

 

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

 

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

 

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

 

Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

 

Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.

 

ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
